Frequently Asked Questions

• Fertilizer: We use Osmocote 18-6-12 slow release (9 month).
• Pesticide(s): We don't use chemical pesticides unless requiredby law/regulation (Imported Fire Ant). We do sparingly use Bt on seedlings in tubes (all sizes, UON) and flats (compots). In most cases I let nature do it's thing and avoid treatment.
• Upon REQUEST I can treat plants with Bt prior to shipping. This prevents them from showing up stripped bare if there are caterpillars in the package. Again this is only IF requested.
• Shipping any plants with/in soil out of the Imported Fire Ant Quarantine requires a pesticide treatment to the soil (More info here).
• Potting Media (Soil): We primarily use ProMix HP potting mix. We often add in other media, such as sand, peat, pine bark, etc.
• Shipping and Delivery:
• Orders placed before Monday are usually shipped Monday or Tuesday.
• Orders to addresses outside the Imported Fire Ant Quarantine Zone will be treated and have at least a one week delay. 
• Delivery can be arranged for orders beyond the normal delivery radius.
